Present Continuous tense is usually used in the situations which take place at the time of speaking. You can say that it's the primary function of this tense. But another function of this tense is when we are talking about plans for the future.

We are spending next summer in Greece.
She's arriving tomorrow morning.

The both sentences describe situations in which some plans have been made about the future activities.
